All things through Christ

"But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!" (2 Corinthians 12:9 Amplified version)

I will not be afraid of my weaknesses for His grace will see me through.
I don't have to be ashamed of my weaknesses nor do I have to hide them by putting on a tough suit. You're not shaped by what people think of you, but what God thinks of you. Only God has the big picture of you. He has a beautiful plan for each of us. He knew me before I was knitted in my mother's womb. Before I was born He set me apart (Jeremiah 1:5). The thorns in your flesh or the weaknesses in you are to make you humble so that you do not take pride in your own strength and lose focus in your ultimate purpose. In the hands of God, we broken vessels can get mended, fixed and beautiful again.

We have a beautiful relationship with God and I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). When you are united with Jesus, you are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

The weaker that I am, the more I will need God's help. This is to glorify God not to make you feel insignificant. He has promised to anoint your head with oil and He prepares a beautiful table for you in front of your enemies (Psalm 23:5). Those who knew you will be amazed by your new found confidence and strength that they will want to know the source of this joy leading them to glorify God.

Make Your Marriage A Success by Myles Munroe

I absolutely loved this sermon and I wish I had heard this years ago.
The gist of the sermon is that, to have a healthy society you need to produce a healthy family and to have a healthy family you have to have a successful marriage.

Marriage is God's institution and the oldest institution in the entire Universe. Every Man and woman should prepare well, gain knowledge, understanding and wisdom before they get married. Not to satisfy your lusts or to fulfill all your needs from the other, but to create a healthy family and a healthy society.

Husbands should be in God's presence and his wife should meet him there. The success of the marriage lies mainly with the husband as long as he is in God's presence. Husband is responsible for the family's well-being; he is the source and sustainer of the family. That's why a man leaves his father and mother and cleaves with his wife. Beautiful mystery reiterated time again by God in the bible. Most men don't get God's message about Marriage. They either pick bible verses that suit them and omit the rest. Or try in their own strength to work it out, thinking this could be the key that will keep the couple together, and when it doesn't work they give up. Very few seek Godly counsel. Some of those who seek counsel, will reject the counsel, because they have to step out of their comfort zones. And few go to wrong people for counseling.
What a Disaster!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the husband and wife meets everytime in God's presence and assume HIS likeness. Then spread HIS glory in their home and around. It'll be heaven on earth. It's not a fairy tale or not doable. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me, and if we are vigilant of Holy Spirit's counsel. Amen!

Bible: Is it genuine?

Why should anyone believe that Bible is genuine, unaltered and true revelation from God?

Most people seem to criticize the authenticity of this holy book...I have gone through many websites like youtube and other social networking sites, where people debate, argue pointlessly and irrationally condemning other religious faiths and their holy scriptures. But unfortunately, those who quarrel & use perverse language have not read these holy books nor know anything about others faith. They, I'm sure, most likely wouldn't have even read their own Holy scriptures.
