Who is Jesus?

For those skeptics, cynics and new believers who need historical facts to evaluate Jesus's existence,
Who was---or is Jesus Christ? Christians worship him as God. But the President of American Atheists, Ellen Johnson, claims Jesus didn’t exist. Others say Jesus was an imposter. The Da Vinci Code postulates Jesus was as a great man whose deity was invented by the 4th century Church.
Y-Jesus examines the questions that are being asked by both skeptics and believers: Does the latest evidence refute or affirm the picture of Jesus Christ given to us in the New Testament? And is there any evidence for the claim that he rose from the dead?
Find out answers to these questions from Y-Jesus
Who is Jesus? Based on God's Word
"God promised this good news about his Son ahead of time through his prophets in the holy scriptures. His Son was descended from David. He was publicly identified as God’s Son with power through his resurrection from the dead, which was based on the Spirit of holiness. This Son is Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 1:3-4 CEB
Jesus, was born as the son of man; born human in the lineage of David. He was revealed to the world as the son of God through His resurrection, because death had no power over Him. Since He lives, those who are united with Him through faith in Him, cannot be bound by death. Only Jesus can free us from the bondage of sin that leads to eternal death, because only He has risen from the dead. Because He has bound the strong man (Mark 3:27), we do not have to wrestle with the strong man anymore, we just have to enter through the door open for us by Jesus and receive our eternal salvation. What a wonderful news to be shared with all! |

How can you be Saved?
"It is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God. "- Ephesians 2:8
You cannot purchase salvation through your good deeds, charity, new age thinking, spirituality of this world or by not stepping on each other's toes. The price of your salvation is paid by Christ. He purchased your freedom from sin and bondage through His sacrifice.

Romans 14:9 - "Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead."
There is no one perfect or without sin. You sin everyday in your thoughts, in your words and actions.
Romans 3:23 - "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard."
But why do you need Christ and need saving and from what you may think?
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Sin separates you eternally from God, where there is no hope, joy, peace nor freedom.

Be Holy as your Father in heaven is Holy
Phew! that's a tough command.
But impossible? Naah! If it was impossible, God would have known that it's impossible and not commanded us this. But, since he's commanded us to be holy, we need to seriously consider what it means to become holy.
When you hear the word Holy, the picture that might come to our minds are of saints or angels, with a big, glowing halo above their heads. Well, holiness does not mean that. But it means purity of heart, mind/thoughts, body and deeds/actions. Matthew 12:34 - "For out of the fullness of your heart the mouth speaks."
Holiness is not a condition for the elect. But it is a requirement for all.

Bible: Is it genuine?
Why should anyone believe that Bible is genuine, unaltered and true revelation from God?
Most people seem to criticize the authenticity of this holy book...I have gone through many websites like youtube and other social networking sites, where people debate, argue pointlessly and irrationally condemning other religious faiths and their holy scriptures. But unfortunately, those who quarrel & use perverse language have not read these holy books nor know anything about others faith. They, I'm sure, most likely wouldn't have even read their own Holy scriptures.
